Prof.Dr. Özge ÜLKER
Born on June 13, 1979, in Kayseri, Professor Ülker completed her primary, secondary, and high school education in Kayseri. After graduating from Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy in 2001, she completed her master’s and PhD studies at Ankara University Faculty of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Toxicology. In 2007, she received a Marie Curie Scholarship and participated in the “Regulatory Toxicology” training organized by the Karolinska Institute. Between 2014-2015, she conducted post-doctoral research on alternative toxicity tests for experimental animals and 3D brain models at Johns Hopkins University with TUBITAK 2219 scholarship and then Johns Hopkins University scholarship. She received the title of “Associate Professor” in April 2016. Between 2017-2018, as a visiting researcher at Oklahoma State University, she conducted research on alternative toxicity tests and mitochondrial toxicity. She gave lectures on the Immune system, Endocrine System Toxicity, Toxic effects on the skin in the Physiology and Toxicology Courses at Oklahoma State University. As part of the Erasmus Lecturing Event, she gave Toxicology seminars to graduate and doctoral students at the University of Naples Frederico II in 2019. Between August 2019 and April 2021, she served as Ankara University Internationalization Coordinator Assistant. She is among the European Registered Toxicologists (ERT). She works actively in the Faculty of Pharmacy Competence Commission and Internationalization Commission.
